Sharing Table

A Translation of a Personal Story

During a semester I collected stories from people about objects that they used to have which had a special meaning to them. They got lost along the way for various reasons but they still missed them.

I picked one story from Quinn Dempsey. He had gotten a french knife from his uncle made out of dark wood, with brass detailing. For years he had used this knife to open wine bottles with and cut cheese. A tool that came in handy to share with the people he loved.

I decided to make a new object for sharing wine and cheese based on the materials of his old object, but in a new fom. This object isn’t just usefull to Quinn, but to anyone who would like to share wine and cheese with their friends.
